Meet Zander!! He’s handsome, talented, and has the BEST curly locks you’ll ever see. He’s the fourth of seven kids in his family… (and the fourth senior that I have had the honor to photograph in his family too!). He is so smart and kind, and he is a talented baseball player. When we met for his senior session, it was an early, sunrise beach and urban senior session. We had to keep things moving along because he was headed straight from his senior session to his baseball tryouts at Sunlake High School. Spoiler: He made the team again, and his senior year was shaping up to be amazing!
We started the day off at a beach that holds special meaning for Zander. Of course we started his session at the rocks, which lead right into the ocean. This specific spot is a place he grew up loving. He had a blast climbing, and playing on the rocks. The seagulls were out in full force too. They were so much fun to watch as they swooped in a giant flock overhead. There was literally no one on the beach that morning except for us, and it was awesome, if I’m being honest.
Once the beach portion wrapped up, we headed to downtown Tarpon Springs for a change of scenery and a more urban vibe. Zander looked sharp in his suit. The brick walls, and a very small bonus location of a charming little wood-plank corner, made for the perfect backdrop… right there on the sidewalk! And… thanks to the magic of my 135mm lens, these formal shots ended up being my absolute favorites from the day.
Then it was time for the most fun part of the session… jeans, casual outfits, and lots of personality. Zander really knows how to work the camera (he’s practically a pro, growing up with a mom who’s an amazing photographer herself). His fantastic smile and relaxed personality made this part of his session so much fun. The location and relaxed nature of this last set of photos made for the perfect ending to his senior session.
What’s next for Zander? Zander will be heading off to college soon, still in Florida. He will be pursuing an Economics degree and continuing through to pursue his master’s degree. Of course, he is going to accomplish this goal! This is what Zander does. God has huge plans for this young man and I will be cheering him on here at home!!
