There’s something special about a country farm senior session. The wide-open spaces and peaceful surroundings are so serene and beautiful. Not to mention the horses running free, the cows that leisurely graze on the grass, and of course the chickens that are running around frantically. This was the case for Kadence’s senior session, and it was amazing. Her senior session took place at a dear friend’s family farm. The name of the farm is Midnight Skye Ranch. It was the perfect backdrop for Kadence’s senior session.
Considering that Kadence grew up in the country and with many animals, it was no surprise to me when she chose this location for her senior session. Kadence has always loved showing her cows, bunnies, and more at state and county fairs, and being involved with FFA at her middle and high schools. A farm is where she is most comfortable, relaxed, and at peace. It was just beautiful and perfect for her!
The Barn
We kicked off her session at the main barn, which housed several beautiful horses. The rustic backdrop was the perfect complement to Kadence’s country style. I love that she brought a vibrant bouquet of flowers. They added a special touch to her senior session. We explored every corner of the barn, and we captured so many beautiful photos here.
A Pasture and A Horse
Next, Kadence led one of the horses out into the pasture, and she spent some time interacting with him. It was so sweet to see them together and to watch their interactions.
Her Awards and Her Crown
And we continued moving along quite nicely in her session. Now, Kadence was ready to change into a look she felt most comfortable in – her jeans and boots!! Once she changed clothes, we walked over to a lovely wooden fence, with lots of greenery. This is where Kadence wanted to display just a fraction of her many awards that she had won over the years, while showing her animals at state fairs. I was blown away and so proud of her for the number of accolades she had earned!
As if her awards weren’t enough, while we were taking photos at the fence, Kadence pulled out her Miss Kumquat sash and crown. Yes…. She is a beauty queen too!!!! Her crown and sash were such a special element to add to this part of her senior session. Kadence held this title proudly, and she wonderfully performed all of her duties and responsibilities with excellence. Winning Miss Kumquat 2024 was a huge honor for Kadence. I could easily see the pride that she had with carrying this title. Now, I was even more proud of her!!!
Her Cap and Gown In The Field
Next up, we turned our attention towards the next milestone in her life… graduation. Kadence changed into a beautiful red sequin dress, topped off with her cap and gown. She looked so pretty in red! With the sun setting behind her, the light was perfect! It created the perfect backdrop for these important photos.
The Grand Finale In The Pasture
Finally, it was time for the grande finale! Kadence’s senior session wouldn’t have been complete without taking gorgeous photos with the cows that she loved so much. This was a first for me, as I had never photographed cows up close before! But they were so calm and comfortable around Kadence, which made for some truly beautiful and unique photos. She even sat down with them in the pasture, as the sun dipped below the horizon. We captured the sweetest moments between Kadence and her beloved cows. It was the perfect way to end her senior session.
Kadence has an incredibly bright future ahead of her. She is striving to have a career in Agricultural Lobbying, which is no surprise to me. With her intelligence, talent, and undeniable passion, I have no doubt that Kadence will succeed in anything she puts her mind to.
Kadence… thank you for choosing the perfect location for your senior session. It was a blast and totally worth us traipsing all over the farm and through pastures and fields, with multiple curious cows following us, just so we could get to the best light. Your country farm senior session is one that I will not soon forget!
