I just love a senior girl with a strong sense of who she is… and Teagan is absolutely one of those girls. She recently graduated from high school, and I have had the pleasure of getting to know her over the past couple of years! I love how creative, smart, and bold she is. So, I wasn’t surprised at all when she said she wanted a creative, urban senior session at the University of Tampa, in downtown Tampa.
UT isn’t just a beautiful college campus… it’s the backdrop for so many special occasions. Occasions such as: homecoming, prom, weddings, and of course, senior photos. It was the perfect spot to kick off Teagan’s senior session. So, we met downtown, on a Tuesday, completely unaware of all the fun that we had awaiting us…
Teagan’s first outfit was completely true to her unique style!! She’s a master thrifter and can put outfits together in the most unique and quirky ways… and she always looks amazing!! And her first outfit reflected her style perfectly! She looked adorable in her tie dye romper with thrifted accessories as well. The she paired the outfit with her big, black combat boots. What a way to start a senior session!! I was thrilled!
When we were finished with this first part of her senior session, Teagan changed into a black dress. She paired it with a pearl choker and of course, her boots again to stick with the extra urban vibe! She also added in black stockings. It was 100% Teagan and 100% bold. This look perfectly captured her fearless approach to fashion, and to life!
Our next location was a gorgeous creamy white church, and honestly, the lighting was a dream. This quickly became my favorite spot of the day (of course…white is my color!). Teagan still had on her black dress, but now she added in a black leather jacket that she had customized herself…complete with large stitching, animal print fabric swatches, soda can tabs, and a cross swatch as well, to represent her strong faith. One of her sewn on patches simply said “don’t mistake kindness for weakness”. That’s the really cool thing about Teagan… she’s fiercely strong, but she is so very, very kind!!! This may have been my favorite outfit that she wore, because everything about this outfit was a visual representation of the amazing young woman that she is. Her individuality really shone through!!!
We wrapped up the session at the Children’s Museum in downtown Tampa, a spot that matched Teagan’s creative vibe perfectly. We had a blast hanging out near the outdoor mural wall, adorned with mosaic glass. It was the perfect backdrop for her casual, and final outfit. For this outfit, she added several button pins. A couple of them stood out to me. You couldn’t miss the pin that said “dork.” Let me tell you, Teagan is anything but a dork, but I love her sense of humor! It made me laugh! The other pin said “dead pancreas society member”, referring to her diabetes. It’s amazing… no matter what life has thrown at Teagan, she remains fierce, strong, and has the most fun personality!! She loves to laugh with anyone, really. She loves life and I’m just so proud of her.
Teagan is starting college locally, and honestly, the sky’s the limit for this incredible young woman. She’s uber smart, brave, and full of personality. I’m so excited to keep watching her pursue her dreams—God has huge plans for her.
Thank you, Teagan, for an unforgettable day full of unique style, creativity, confidence, and so many laughs!! You are just so much fun!!! You absolutely nailed your senior session and showed everyone the power of being exactly who you are!!
And, if you’re still here reading about Teagan… thanks!!! I’m sure you’ll agree that she’s quite amazing! I hope you love these photos of Teagan. They are some of my favorites…
