Haven's Beach Senior Session

I’m so excited to welcome Haven to the blog today. Haven’s beach senior session was held at Cypress Point Park, in South Tampa. Haven and her mom, both, loved this location. I was so glad they wanted to do her session here because this location never disappoints. There are views of the Howard Frankland Bridge, which connects Tampa to our beautiful St. Pete beaches. The park is surrounded by glowy sawgrass, a sprawling mangrove forrest, and offers endless opportunities for the most amazing photos.

Haven and I had met a few times over zoom, prior to her session day, and I was beyond excited about her beach senior session. And meeting Haven in person was such a treat. She and her mom had just arrived from hair and makeup and Haven looked absolutely breath-taking. Her outer beauty was so obviously striking, but it was her inner beauty that truly shone through on the day of her session.

We began her session near the area where all of the sawgrass was. Haven chose a light teal halter top, paired with loose-fitting white pants for her first outfit. It was an effortlessly perfect look for the beach. The sawgrass was glowing in the golden sunlight, creating the most dreamy light, which made every photo just perfect.

After having so much fun at our first location, it was time to move on to our next location. We walked down to the beach, near the water. Haven changed into a pair of light blue casual pants and a white tank top. She looked so great and completely at ease as we walked all around on the sand, capturing some fun and playful moments. We even took time to sit in the sand and enjoy the beautiful day… and of course snapping some of those photos too.

Haven’s final outfit was a gorgeous dark teal dress. After she changed clothes, we continued out on the sand for a bit. Then we finally made our way over to a small boardwalk as the sun was starting to set. The light was pure magic at this point. The sun was so warm and golden, and it looked amazing against Haven’s sun-kissed skin. Every photo from this moment felt like a dream. I was in photographer’s heaven!!!

Once the sun had almost set, the sky was so beautiful that we just had to get a silhouette photos of her by the ocean. Actually, I typically do this with every senior who takes their senior photos at the beach. Our Florida sunsets are just too good… every single night, to NOT take a photo of the colorful sky. Haven’s session ended as perfectly and beautiful as it began!

As we were walking around the beach and talking, Haven shared with me that she was planning to attend Georgia Southern University to study Psychology. I have no doubt that with her gentle demeanor, kind heart, and determination, she will go on to make a huge impact in the world. Haven’s future is incredibly bright, and I couldn’t be more proud of her.
