Hey there, class of 2024 Senior!! I am so glad you stopped by… and congratulations on your upcoming senior year!!! If you are reading this blog, I am sure that it’s because you want to know more about what it means to be a part of the SMP model team. Guess what? I’d love to tell you all about it! So go grab a cup of coffee, tea, or even your favorite flavored LaCroix, sit down and relax for a bit and I’ll share the fun details!!
How it all began
But first, let me tell you how the idea of a spokesmodel team began. I started shooting professionally in 2016, then made my business official and launched it in 2017, (although I had been taking photos for most of my life). I tried a little bit of everything at first, but then I started noticing something very interesting, specifically with my senior sessions. There was always a special connection between my senior, their mom, and me. We would talk and laugh the entire session, and by the end of the session we felt like old friends… even if we had just met for the first time. Because this was such a precious time in my senior’s life that I got to be a part of, I wanted to stay in touch and continue to celebrate them as they were getting ready to graduate. Not to mention, I also had three recent high school graduates of my own at the time, and was very familiar with all of the excitement and celebration that goes along with having a senior in high school. It always felt a little strange to me that, after hearing about my senior’s lives and their future goals during the session, that we were just done after our 2 hours together. And that is when I started considering the idea of a senior model team.
I had heard about model teams before, and it was exciting to think that I could get a group of amazing seniors and we could work together for an ENTIRE YEAR!!!! I could help celebrate and document so many amazing memories for my seniors. At the same time, they were helping me to market my business and bring in even more incredible seniors. Can you say WIN-WIN????? I haven’t looked back since…
So what exactly IS a model team?
The SMP model team is a group of kind and caring seniors who love spending time together. In fact, they spend their entire year together, participating in several fun and creative photoshoots. In addition to the creative photoshoots and hang outs, model team members also receive their own individual senior session, as well as other perks for referring their friends to my business. Model team members are the face of Sandi Michelle Photography for their entire senior year, and I have been so proud of all of them for the way that they have represented my business over the years.
