One of the best things about capturing senior sessions in and around Tampa is that there are so many locations to choose from. We have plenty of beaches and parks that I enjoy shooting at, but I especially love a cool, urban vibe for a senior session, and Ybor City is the perfect place for that. Arianna wanted an urban setting for her session, but she also wanted to end her senior session out at the beach, with a glowy marina in the background, right at twilight. We timed it out, and cut it really close with time, but we made it happen!

Spending time with Arianna is such a joy. She has a huge heart and her smile can light up any room. Her perseverance is admirable, to say the least! She’s bubbly, caring and she has a strong faith! She also enjoys spending time with her grandmother… cooking of course, AND she is a self proclaimed thrifter. She told me once that she “loves the aspect of walking in a store and not knowing what you’re going to find”. (I kind of agree with her on that one). All of this to say that it was an absolute joy to explore around Ybor City with Arianna, during her senior session.

Urban city vibe

When we were planning her senior session, Arianna said she wanted a more urban, city vibe. She loved the idea of exploring alleyways, stairs, and having brick walls as her backdrop. So, we headed to Ybor City, with Arianna’s mom and aunt. The light was beautiful that day. We caught the sun just as we were finishing up in Ybor city. At this point, we needed to hurry and get over to the beach.

Twilight at the beach

We arrived at the beach and marina area just after the sun had set. The twilight sky was breath taking. There were so many vibrant colors in the sky, and we knew that it was now or never to capture her favorite photos of all from her senior session. Together, we jumped out of the car, laughed at the fact that so many local residents had the same idea of being on the beach at sunset. Determined to persevere, with quite the audience watching, we captured Arianna’s favorite photos of the day. The sky was painted in such bright and bold colors, making for the most stunning senior photos. I was so proud of Arianna and her confidence – it was sweet to see her shine and for others to watch her shine as well.

College

In the Fall, Arianna will begin studying to make her next dream a reality: She’s excited to become a dental hygienist. Pasco Hernando State College (PHSC) is so lucky to have her as a student, and I just know she will excel there and in the future. 

Congratulations, Arianna! Your friends and family are so proud of you.
