One of the best parts about my job is when I get to photograph siblings of previous seniors that have stepped in front of my lens! A few years back, I photographed Lauren’s older sister during her senior session in downtown Tampa, and now it was Lauren’s turn to have her senior photos taken. I have loved getting to know Lauren this past year and I think you’re going to love her too. We had such a great time at her senior session and I was so proud of her. The photos that we captured together were the perfect way to end her senior year! It was the best day taking her senior photos at the University of Tampa.
From its historic red brick buildings, many open green spaces, and even the wonderful museum, the University of Tampa is one of the most popular places to capture photos in the city. UT is such a lovely, historic location and it was the best spot for Lauren’s session! She looked adorable in her light blue dress, which had the cutest open back with a little bow on it. It was the perfect compliment to the red brick and green spaces that are all over the UT campus. Surprisingly, the campus was not terribly crowded the day of her session. We did, however, see a few other seniors getting their cap and gown photos taken by other local photographers while we were there. It was great to see several other hard working seniors, like Lauren, celebrating their accomplishments as well.
Lovely Red Brick Buildings
After photographing at the historic red brick buildings, Lauren changed into her second outfit… a lovely black dress, that she would stay in for the rest of her session. It looked great for her sunset photos along the Hillsborough River. I particularly loved the photos that we captured during this part of her session. As we were shooting in this spot, I distinctly remembered photographing Lauren’s sister, Michelle, just on the other side of the massive, round skyscraper… better known as the Syke’s building. Once we finished shooting on the bridge, with the Syke’s building in the background, we were thrilled to see the gorgeous sun that was setting right in back of us.. The glow was amazing!!!
Downtown buildings and sunset
Throughout her session, Lauren was chatty and made me laugh with her witty personality. We talked about her high school years at Land O Lakes High School, where Lauren was a cheerleader for all four years. I can only imagine how much her smile brightened up the hallways of her favorite high school, for those 4 years. We also talked about some of the fun things that she was looking forward to as she prepared to start college at Valencia College. Lauren plans to major in TV and Film Production. I have no doubt, at all, that she will thrive during her college years and complete all of the goals that she has set for herself.
Congratulations on all of your accomplishments, Lauren. Your friends and family will be cheering you on from home.
