Vibrant and joyful senior photos

Makenna’s Colorful, Multi-Site Senior Session

I am the queen of multi-tasking, and that especially goes for senior sessions. So, whenever I have the opportunity to do a multi-site senior session, I am all in! That was the case for Makenna’s senior session. Being a detailed planner, Makenna chose three different locations that were all very close in proximity, yet so very different. Makenna chose a park with a lake, an urban downtown area, and the beach. I couldn’t have been more excited about her senior session.

But, first let me tell you more about Makenna. I met her several years before she was actually a high school senior. She was in the Sunday School class that I taught at our church. She was a little shy at first… quite soft spoken. But as I got to know her in class I grew to love her. It didn’t take long at all to realize that she was also a fellow coffee lover. In fact, I don’t think I have ever met anyone who loves coffee as much as Makenna does. Keep reading… more to come on that soon!

We started out the session at a nice park that was special to Makenna. There were big trees, and a lovely boardwalk. She was dressed in a beautiful burgundy dress, which contrasted perfectly with our very green location! It was the best way to start her senior session. Then we were on to the next location.

A Pretty Park

Now, back to our coffee discussion. Makenna has worked in coffee shops, so her taste for great coffee is well refined. I love that about her. I also loved that she brought both of her parents to her session. Of course, we used that to our advantage when we sent them on a coffee run, so that we could incorporate her favorite beverage into her senior session. Those photos were some of my favorites from her session because it perfectly showcased part of Makenna’s fun personality.

Coffee, coffee, and more coffee…

Speaking of her fun personality, the urban city location was full of so many bright colors and unique wall art. Makenna lit up when we started shooting there, after the coffee photos. (Or maybe that could have been because the coffee started to kick in… who knows!).  But, Makenna really came alive when we were in downtown Tarpon Springs.

A Fun Urban setting…

Lastly, we finished up her session on the beach. Makenna changed into the prettiest sequin dress, which matched the sunset almost perfectly. The sunset was extra bright all the way until the sun disappeared, but it made for beautiful glowy sunset photos. That is the thing about our Florida beaches. No sunset is ever the same and the opportunities to be creative with my seniors are endless. This is a session that I won’t soon forget.

Beautiful Sunset

Now that Makenna has graduated, she plans to study Mass Media and Communications at Bayside College.

I am so very proud of you, Makenna. Be sure to stay in touch when you are home from college. You KNOW I’ll be offering to take you to coffee to catch up on how you’re loving college life. God has big plans for you, sweet girl!!!
